Home Page of Francis Creek Fjords FRANCIS CREEK FJORDS Welcome to my webpage. I am the owner of Francis Creek Fjords. I have been raising, training, breeding and showing Fjords since 1994. I have had several other breeds before I got into the Fjords, and for me, the Fjords are my number one favorite. I show in huntseat, dressage, pleasure driving, jumping classes, western pleasure, halter and when not showing you'll find me out on the trails or down the road on one of the Fjords from the farm. I find the Fjords very versatile and very willing to try just about anything. My favorite of favorites is O.H. Silas, a white dun 8 yr old gelding. He is gorgeous, talented and willing to do just about anything. Check him out and see for yourself. Another man on the farm that is quite striking is our 10 yr old stallion, Fair Acres Ole. Ole is very majestic looking, Ole has a very kind and gentle eye to match his outstanding disposition. Ole has been shown as well. Ole rides/drives and has many top quallity foals to his credit. If you have a Fjord mare and are thinking of breeding, consider Ole if you're looking for disposition and Fjord type. Ole is what you think of when you think FJORD, solid, quiet,willing and honest. Ole was evaluated in the summer of 2003. Receiving a blue ribbon in conformation. You can also see Ole on www.franciscreekfjords.com Ole was also evaluated in 2004 in intro. draft and intro english riding, he recieved a blue and red ribbon respectively. I am planning on bringing him to the evaluation in 2005 for the advanced draft test and intro. driving. I am very active with the Fjords at our farm. I breed outside mares with our stallion, I train our young stock and take in outside horses for training as well, I have been giving riding lessons with and hope to continue that next year with the horseless horse program in our local 4H program. I also take in several shows throughout the year with my Fjords. I do our local circuit and also take 1 or 2 Fjords to the Fjord Breed show in MN every year. I have participated in the Fjord evaluations and served as secretary for the Midwest Fjord Horse Club for 6 yrs. I really believe these horses are wonderful mounts for young and old alike. I start all our horses out with a mixture of schooling and trail riding. I make sure they are safe on the roads, in the woods, thru water, with other horses.
