Subject: What's the price on...

This message is from: "Peter Randall" <prandall@hwdsb.on.ca>

I find these threads about "High Prices of Fjords" truly amusing.

Even BDF Titan (a potential top, top sire with superlatives bloodlines - and
what can beat a Gjest X Stine?)) was only listed at $12,500.

Your average Fjord, maybe 3000 4000 5000 7000.

Fjords are the deal of the century. Heck some pay $3800 for a Shetland Pony
and then have it advertised for sale because their daughter hit grade four and
can't ride it anymore.

What do top stallions cost in other breeds?
-Sky's the limit.

Pay a quarter of a million for a Thoroughbred and he can only win some races.
A Fjord can win your heart...

(Now, obviously any animal can win your heart but Fjords are particularly good
at it and they are multi-purpose at the same time).

Someone complaining about 5 or 7K for a Fjord probably has  a big screen TV,
DVD player, and surround sound worth as much or more.

In the end, what are these items except disposable consumer goods headed for a
landfill at some point? They have their place to be assured but they also have
the ability to make your children monsters and couch potatoes.

Fjords have the ability to teach you and your family; life, love, happiness,
responsibility and best of all get you out into the wonderful outdoors.

I like my TV, house, truck, tractor, car, etc. I love my wife, kids and
animals. What's the price on love when you figure I spent well over half a
million on things I will never love...
